March 16 - April 15
15 Orient is thrilled to present Arya; a special project with Japanese-Mongolian painter Arisa Yoshioka. Installed throughout the third floor apartment of 12 Jefferson Street– directly above the gallery’s main exhibition space– the show features a body of work created over the course of the last year. The exhibition marks Yoshioka’s first with the gallery and her first-ever solo-presentation.
Arisa Yoshioka (b. 2000, Ulaanbaatar) grew up between Mongolia and Japan. With no formal arts education, Yoshisaka began painting in 2021. She’s since created a number of works of striking singularity and formal sensitivity. Her work was recently included in “Time”, a group-show at Pablo’s Birthday (New York, NY) curated by Ryan Steadman.
